Happy, is the daughter of Top Ten doe Simple-Truth Celerity. When we were bringing Celerity back as a senior doe, we had the privilege of selecting from any of Headway Nubians amazing bucks to sire a litter with Celerity. We chose Veteran's Rip It Up with the intention of doing some line breeding on the Pennyroyal sisters that were born to Pennyroyal Frida's Corazon due to her impressive milk production and the easy going personality complete in an easy keeping package that we had seen in the sister we owned.

G6S Normal, disbudded Fruitful-Acres Blessed Ruth is the last daughter born to her mother, Linn Farm's Magi's Promise who made the Elite list time and time again and whose litter brother, Linn Farm's Magi's Maxim, did the same. Blessed Ruth has all of her mother's voracious appetite and wide rear stance, but with much more refined look like her father. She is an easy going girl that doesn't get stressed or bothered by much of anything. Sweet natured and definitely a middle of the herd type partly due to her independent nature (also like her dam in that), Blessed Ruth has already displayed the strong will to milk that her family line is known for around here. Blessed Ruth has nice, long teats and a beautiful soft udder that's a pleasure to milk.

Opal, was the first Loner daughter that we got to milk and it was icing on the cake when she became the first doe of our breeding that we had make the Elite list as a result of her lactation on milk test here. We love milking her, enjoy her production and the long duration of lactation that she has flaunted while with us. Opal is a super sweet, “in your pocket” doe who milks well over an extended lactation like her maternal half sister, Sapphire.

Fruitful-Acres Simply Merciful – G6S Normal, Polled S: Fruitful-Acres Lone Ranger *B SS: WildMntCountry Texas Ranger *B SD: SG Fruitful-Acres Dawn 2*M D: Simple-Truth Clemency 1*M DS: Remuda RWO Roy Clark +*B (87 VVV @ 01-02) DD: Beaujest KK Belladonna (87 +V+E @ 03-01) Fruitful-Acres Simply Merciful, a.k.a. Mercy, was named after her dam as a keeper doeling the moment she was born. A herd mate jumped a 5 foot horse panel and landed on her within the first few days after she was born, which broke her hind leg. She managed to get the splint off a few days later and ended up trampled by the entire herd of milkers that resulted in a broken hip. The vet advised putting her down, but her people decided honor her strong will to live. Her mother carefully doted on her in a small space where she couldn’t get into too much trouble even though Clemency did seem to miss hanging out with her herd mates at times. Mercy thrived and ultimately recovered from her rough early start. Mercy is developing into a large bodied doe with her dam’s high butterfat production and her sire’s easy keeping trait. Her udder is easy to milk, productive and soft with good milk flow.

Grace is line bred on the sire of two time Top Ten doe, Ronco Farm Windy Ebony and goes back to 4B Smooth Surprise and multi-year Top Ten doe, Six M Galaxy Nova's Sonia Noel on both sides of her pedigree. Her sire, Captain Nemo, was the great grandson of our foundation doe, Sunshine. Grace is the first result of finally crossing the legendary 2x Top Ten Ronco Farm Windy Ebony with the Fruitful-Acres ideal hardy and productive foundation milker, Hard Earned Acres Sunshine. Designated the cream of the crop by her breeder, we have high expectations for our sweet natured Grace. Her udder is as soft as a feather pillow and feels more like reaching into a bowl of whipped cream than a milking udder. Grace's milk flows easily so she milks out quickly and she was our highest butterfat producer as a first freshener. Linear Appraisal: 81 +++A @ 01-06

G6S Normal, disbudded Splenda is a lovely combination of beautiful, milky animals with Six M Galaxy, Goldthwaite and Simple-Truth (Remuda and Lakeshore) bloodlines behind her. As a FF, she impressed us by kicking up in milk production later in her lactation when all the other does were winding down for the winter. One of tiny triplet sisters, she was the favorite from the moment she arrived. She is a colorful easy keeper from the doe who for years gave us the most butterfat every year. Her dam is the half sister of the number one Top Ten doe from a few years ago, Simple-Truth Celerity. Her sire is the son of an Elite doe that was always stocky even when she gave us triplets as a twelve year old. We’ve noticed that her first offspring have been easy keepers like her and her paternal grandam. Linear Appraisal: 84 +V++ 02-07

It was a blessing that she was offered to us by a dear friend unexpectedly. Tiger Lilly found her place here by popular demand of the younger generation even before a certain little one fell in love with her and claimed her for their own. She’s been willing to let the then 2 year old child who still adores her lead her anywhere, despite far outweighing the child at the time. She’s been milked primarily by that youngster even as a first freshener, so it’s pretty safe to say she’s easy going and easy to milk. Many a time she’s been spotted in a pen or pasture with that child’s arms around her neck or nestled up against her sides when she’s chilling and chewing her cud. Linear Appraisal: 85 +VAV@ 02-05

She's been on the Top Ten list twice for milk production (2017 & 2018) and once for butterfat production (2017). She's a very affectionate doe w/ her people, but over the years she's become very dominant with other does. She's lived all over the country and milked well everywhere she's been. Her lifetime milk record is rapidly approaching 20,000 pounds. Despite milking so heavily, her udder has held up well. We have had the pleasure of milking Ebony's dam, maternal aunt, her half sister out of her maternal aunt, daughters, granddaughters and many other descendants and near relatives. Her sire was also in our herd for a time, but knowing how well loved she was by her breeder, we never dreamed she might one day come our herd. Her favorite person only let her come here when she retired from raising Nubian goats altogether and for this, we are greatly honored. She seems to be happy here among old friends and her progeny. As a testament to her will to milk and her ability to handle change, her milk production only dipped for a few days as she recovered from the trip from Nebraska to Texas.

We later chose her by pedigree and were surprised to realize she was the same doeling we had so admired when we went to pick her up. We were thrilled and honored to finally be able to bring home this daughter of a Top Ten doe and we were as proud of her as if we’d bred her ourselves when she made Top Ten in the number 1 position herself. She also ranked in the Top Ten for butterfat and protein in 2018, showing her milk is as rich as it is plentiful. We have been again honored to bring her back to hang out with her half sister for her remaining years. Celerity is a devoted mother and tends to be an easy keeper. She’s not overly pushy with other goats, but she is very protective over her little ones and very patient with them. Linear Appraisal: 85 EEVA @ 11-06

G6S Normal, Disbudded Clemency consistently had the highest butterfat of any of our does since the first year she was here until her own daughter started giving her some competition. We’ve had 3 paternal half sisters of hers over the years and have been impressed by every one of them. One of her paternal half sisters was our first doe to earn an LA score of 90 and another peaked at 19 pounds of milk a day and was still milking a gallon a day at 10 months fresh, which earned her the #1 ranking of the Top Ten milkers in the country that year. Clemency’s most noticeable trait though, is that she’s nearly always the first doe to come greet us and the last to leave our side, if she ever does step away, while we’re out visiting the herd during the day. She’s often a choice to jump on the milking stand for folks who have never milked to learn on because of her easy-going, willing personality. Linear Appraisal: 91 EEEE @ 11-06

We’re very pleased with the length of lactation and the shape and style of her udder, which is very reminiscent to that of her paternal granddam, Sunshine. This doe easily stays in milk as long as someone shows up to milk her, with every lactation over a year long on test. She was ‘adopted’ as a favorite by a then 5 year old because she is his favorite doe to milk. She jumps up on the milking stand readily and never kicks. She also willingly took over mothering a young wether when paired with him after his dam was sold. Sapphire appraised quite a bit higher than her dam at the same age and it’s been very gratifying to watch her mature and show off the success of our breeding program.
