Promise may not be our prettiest doe, but she has proudly made the Elite list year after year. This girl loves to eat! Pretty much the only thing she stops eating for during her waking hours is to say ‘hello’ and nuzzle her people and she definitely doesn’t stop eating for long even to do that. Her high production and long, steady lactation cycle prompted us to purchase our first registered Nubian buck so that her bloodlines would not be lost. She distinguished herself not only with her superb milk production (approximately 3000 pounds in a single lactation) but also with high fertility (she twinned as a first freshener and has dropped triplets when bred out of season), by earning her Superior Genetics designation and later by scoring 90 VEEE as mature 8+ year old doe. For most of the time she was been with us, Sunshine was the herd queen. She was is very assertive, but had a low tolerance for disturbances or disagreements within the herd, making her 'reign' a peaceful one. Sunshine was a partner in the milking parlor and very affectionate with those humans that respected her. She liked to do what was expected of her, but didn't care to be pushed around. Asking got people farther with her than demanding something from her. Sunshine's udder was not only productive, but matched our ideal of what a goat's udder should be. She had a smoothly blended fore udder, nice rear udder attachment, a solid medial suspensory ligament and teats that hang plumb center below each udder half with a clear udder floor differentiating between where the udder ends and the teat begins. Her orifices were a little on the tighter side in her first several freshenings, but since she's reached maturity became a moderate size that was easy to get milk from without requiring much pressure although her descendants have larger orifices that require even less pressure to get milk. Her maternal grandam has earned Top 10 Breed Leader status in milk production, butterfat, and protein more than once and her dam earned her milking star within the first 5 months of her first lactation and also became a Top Ten Breed Leader in milk production, holding the #1 position the year she earned that distinction. Heart has proven to be an excellent mother to her kids and an easy keeper. Unfortunately, she started dealing with mastitis in a precocious udder before her first freshening and had to be dried up almost immediately during her battle with it once she freshened the first time, so we're thankful she has now freshened more than once without mastitis. Due to the udder damage from her initial mastitis challenges, she may never have milk records in line with her dam and siblings. Clearly the milk is being passed down, as her daughter already has a precocious udder. Lots of breed character in this girl, with ears that go on and on and on. Heart has an easy going personality. Nothing phases her and she's a quietly assertive member of the herd. Her orifices are on the larger side and her teats started out at an easy size for hand milking, even as a first freshener. Heart is wide from front to back with a well attached udder and excellent spring of rib. Linear Appraisal: 89 VEVE @ 04-04

Elsa was the daughter of a two time Top Ten doe and a milky buck with a background in the show world. Slated to carry on in her dam's footsteps, she milked enough to earn her milking star as a first freshener. She was easy to milk by hand with a gentle temperament.

Loner is a combination of some of our best genetics in one buck. We really had no intention of keeping a home bred buck, but he sort of grew on us and the more we thought about it, the more excited we were about using him to line breed on Sunshine and Splash. We have not regretted that decision as his offspring have been gorgeous and milk well. We sent him to a couple of other herds for a few years and we were so excited to have him back!

Ranger is line bred on Top Ten Doe, The DL Cup Cake. Cup Cake wasn't on DHIR until she was 11 years old and that's when she made Top Ten. She was 14 years old when she kidded with her last litter and finally retired from the milking string, but she wasn't having any trouble producing and maintaining her weight even at that age. Ranger's dam earned her milk star, remained in milk over 400 days and earned her Superior Genetics award as a first freshener and she’s peaked at 18 pounds a day on official milk test in subsequent freshenings. Ranger produced easy to milk does that are easy keepers with sweet personalities, improved conformation and soft, pliable, productive udders. Every polled Nubian we have goes back to Ranger. Milk and spots, hardiness and productivity in a polled package. Ranger was a complete package and definitely set the bar for what we want to see in a buck and his offspring.

G6S Normal, Disbudded Prince Charming was everything we were hoping for when we planned the breeding to get a long awaited son from the best of Sunshine’s descendants. The more he matures, the more he is taking on the build and conformation of his sire. His dam has usually stayed in milk for over a year at a time. She’s deep in the body with a very prominent brisket and classic Roman nose. His sire was similarly deep and wide, but also was long and tall. Prince combines Six M Galaxy, Goldthwaite, G Bar Acres and Windsong bloodlines. We’re expecting excellent conformation and milk production from this little guy’s offspring over the years to come.

Stormy, was selected for his excellent conformation and top show lines when the waiting list for a son of Champion DKGH Full Evening Affair (2019 Spotlight Sale doeling) became too long. It was a good thing he was snatched up when he was because the beautiful show herd he came from was disbursed within a few months as the owners finally decided to retire. Stormy has beautful udders behind him and the last time we had a Nubilop-Acres buck, he turned out to improve every udder he impacted. Stormy’s grandsire showed the same propensity for improving udders so we’re looking forward to freshening a few Stormy daughters to see if he’s got the same trait.

G6S Normal, Polled Fruitful-Acres Blue Ranger, a.k.a. Blue, is the son of Fruitful-Acres Lone Ranger *B (a.k.a. Loner) and Fruitful-Acres Simply Splendid (a.k.a. Splenda). He is naturally polled and G6S normal. Loner, was a combination of some of our best genetics in one buck. We sent him to a couple of other herds for a few years and we've been told his daughters have universally been improvements over their dams in udder qualities and milk production, but most of his daughters haven't been on milk test. The first daughter of his that we got on test made the Elite list, so we feel his reputation for making milky daughters has been validated. Loner was polled, G6S normal and was an easy keeper like his parents and grandparents. Splenda is a lovely combination of beautiful, milky animals with Six M Galaxy, Goldthwaite and Simple-Truth (Remuda and Lakeshore) bloodlines behind her. As a FF, she impressed us by kicking up in milk production later in her lactation when all the other does were winding down for the winter. She is a colorful easy keeper from the doe who for years gave us the most butterfat every year. Her dam has been appraised as a 91EEEE and is the half sister of the number one Top Ten doe from a few years ago, Simple-Truth Celerity. Her sire is the son of an Elite doe that was always stocky even when she gave us triplets as a twelve year old. We’ve noticed that her first offspring have been easy keepers like her and her paternal grandam. We are expecting to see this easy keeping trait being passed down through Blue's offspring along with high milk production and long lactations like we've seen in their immediate ancestors.
